Design Concept

Our design focuses on blending subtle architectural lighting – adding warmth and emphasising the interior story – with a mix of decorative lighting to create a space that radiates character. To achieve beautiful contrasts between different areas, while maintaining a cohesive flow, we employed a range of lighting techniques.

Key Lighting Solutions

Candlelight chandelier

‘Floating’ candles – a nod to Scandinavian winters – form an eye-catching chandelier that soars above the dining area. Concealed black spotlights in the dramatic lattice ceiling above provide a gentle layer of ambient light around the symbolic lighting feature.

Glowing bar

A backlit glass façade adds depth to the bar counter, complemented by integrated joinery lighting that accentuates the bottles on display. The whole bar area ‘pops’, naturally drawing guests in.

Subtle layers of architectural illumination

Light fittings were concealed in the architecture and surfaces where possible through indirect lines of light and considered interventions. Guests feel the effect of the light, but the aesthetic is calm and composed.

Less is more

A single downlight above the all-red dining booth produces a subtle yet striking beam of light – all eyes are drawn to the drama of the intimate nook. In the private dining room, light is discreetly woven into the architecture highlighting the decorative ceiling and creating a soft, radiating glow.

Open kitchen dining

Bright, space-enhancing light deepens the culinary experience. The chef station is washed with functional light, while an illuminated ceiling panel turns the circulation route along the kitchen and dining tables into a focal point.
